The SVP of Financial Operations (SVP) will be reporting directly to the CFO. The SVP is responsible for compiling, developing and analyzing the organization’s long-term financial strategy. The SVP will also ensure appropriate programs, accounting principles, practices, and internal controls are in place and maintained. The SVP will work collaboratively across all levels of the organization, including executive management members, Board of Trustees, oversight committees, and senior leadership in executing decisions with financial implications impacting the Authority. The financial operations group is comprised of the Budget & Business Controls, Treasury, Procurement, Finance and Controller departments totaling approximately 145 employees.
 In addition to the above duties, the successful job candidate will:
  • Manage the annual business planning cycle, providing advice to senior leadership about the potential performance of the business and the choices to be made in delivering that performance.

·         Embedded Protocols (I²C, SPI, USB, TJAG, CAN Bus, BlueTooth, RS-232, RS-485)
·         Working knowledge of computer drafting software (AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks)
·         Working knowledge of EDA software (Schematic capture and PCB Layout)
·         Preferably Altium

Knowledge in the following areas would be a plus:


  • Designing products to meet IP67 or higher ratings
  • Designing firmware to meet safety guidelines
  • GPS Systems
  • ARM Microcontrollers
  • CAN BUS systems, (For device to device and/or J1939 on equipment)
  • Environmental temperature/humidity chamber testing experience
  • Working with Independent test laboratories (FCC, CE, …)
  • Working knowledge/designed around SAE, ISO and MIL standards
  • Developing or guiding development

New Braunfels, Texas Electrical Engineering Job Duties and Responsibilities

·         Prepares electrical-related scope documents, exhibits, budgets, and specifications
·         Participates in design and construction review processes
·         Provides electrical team leadership, mentoring, scheduling, project oversight, training, etc.
·         Assists with the development of new electrical engineering standards and maintains and improves existing standards and guidelines, implementing industry and company best practices
·         Maintains and fosters relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and material suppliers

New Braunfels, Texas Electrical Engineering Job Qualifications

In order to qualify for this Electrical Engineer position, you must have:
·         BS Electrical Engineering degree (or equivalent)
·         PE license (required) 
·         3+ years of electrical engineering design and project management experience with commercial building design and/or industrial, water, and wastewater projects (WWTP) (mandatory)
  • Required experience with Electric Power Systems, including but not limited to, loads, efficiency, transformers, distribution, and control panels
·         Strong written and oral communication skills
·         Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
·         Demonstrated proficiency with design codes and standards, such as NEC, NESC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, IEEE and ANSI
·         Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit building design software
·         Proficiency in SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or equivalent
